So you want something
really special

A custom artwork is an incredible item! When choosing someone to create a custom piece, we recommend these top three starting points:

  1. Do you love the style of the artist?

  2. Would you like to commission them to create something they normally do? (You generally wouldn’t ask for watercolour painting from a oil painter, and you shouldn’t ask them to copy someone else’s work)

  3. Do you have a specific artwork/image in mind? The more specific your idea is, the harder it will be for you to be satisfied.

If you answered yes to the first two questions, you may want to take the quiz below to see if we’d be a good working match.

  • 1. Immerse

There’s no inspiration like the natural world. Millions of species, a spectrum of colour, a cacophony of noise.

Sit with me and feel the warm breeze. Soak it in.

  • 2. Interact

This is where my creativity thrives - at the dance between absorbing and emitting.

Interpret what you feel, have a play. Maybe the warm grass feels pink.

  • 3. Plan

Wild creativity might need a little taming.

Start defining composition, value, message, concept.

  • 4. Flow

    Time to release.

With the key elements mapped and structured, it’s time to focus on the smooth flow of the oils.
